Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is visuals! For my post, I decided to share some of my favorite book covers. Here are my choices:
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I love both of the covers of Heartless! If this book was made a few years earlier, it would feature a girl supposed to be Cath in a fancy dress. I really like how the crown relates to the story and how the sword balanced the cover.
Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler
This book relates to one of the most emotional parts of the story. It also is extremely beautiful! I love the simple, but cute font and the variety of colors in the sea glass.
Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
This cover really captures the spirit of this story! I really loved the spunky attitude of the main character in Rebel Belle. Like with Heartless, this cover could feature a girl with a sword in a homecoming dress. Instead, it features a nice font with objects that relate to the story.
My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories by Stephanie Perkins
Even though I had mixed feelings after reading My True Love Gave to Me, I still absolutely love the cover. I really like how the cover actually features the characters from the short stories inside!
Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige
Stealing Snow wasn’t my favorite book, but I really like the cover. The broken mirror relates to the story and the winter-y cover reflects the Snow Queen retelling very well. This is one book that made me really want to read it just because of the cover!
Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
I really didn’t like Girl Online, but I think it has the perfect cover! I love the Polaroid-type pictures mixed in with the fairy lights on the cover. What makes the cover even more special is that the pictures come from one of Zoella’s fans!
Wonder by R.J. Palacio
Wonder is an amazing book with an equally amazing cover! The cover is very graphic and artsy. I really like how every character has their own face, especially in Auggie and Me!
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
The Fault in Our Stars is a great graphic cover in YA fiction. I remember seeing so many books released after this one that followed a similar style!
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler
Usually, I don’t like people on books covers. This book is an exception! The colors on the cover are so beautiful and really reflects the book’s setting and characters.
Rules by Cynthia Lord
This is such a great book and it has such a cute cover! Even though a rubber duck is never mentioned in the story, it reflects one of the rules within the book (no toys in the fish tank). I read an article about the author and she mentioned that so many people send her rubber ducks because of this cover!
What are some of your favorite book covers?
They are so pretty!

Omg, you are so right about Heartless. There was that major trend of girls in super pretty dresses. I liked the pretty dresses, but there was just no difference. Sooooo true, great post, and I liked your choices! 🙂

Twenty Boy Summer has been on my Goodreads TBR for a while now! The gorgeous cover may or may have not led me to reading the synopsis and thus adding the book to my tbr 😂😉 Great post; I loved your choices!
